British Queen celebrates

Israel’s tourism industry is showing strong signs of recovery, with nearly 15,000 UK visitors arriving in April 2025. According to official figures, 14,700 travelers from the United Kingdom visited

last month — a 133% surge compared to just 6,300 in April 2024.

While these figures still fall 37% short of pre-conflict peaks seen in 2019 and 2023, the upward trend is encouraging.

Michael Ben Baruch, UK Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism, remarked: “This significant increase in UK visitors demonstrates the resilience of tourism to Israel and the enduring appeal of our country, particularly during festive periods. We are encouraged by this upward trajectory as we continue to work toward recovery.”

Further supporting this momentum, Wizz Air has resumed its flights to Tel Aviv as of May 15, reinstating its full schedule. This follows a broader return of international airlines to Israel, with the Lufthansa Group also restarting operations this week.

Looking ahead, Israel expects around 1.4 million tourists to visit by the end of 2025, signaling a continued revival of the sector. Photo by MarcelX42, Wikimedia commons.
