Applications for postgraduate student finance for the 2026/27 academic year have opened for students in England and Wales.

Student Finance England (SFE) and Student Finance Wales (SFW) are now accepting applications for Master's and Doctoral Loans, as well as Disabled Students' Allowance.

New students must apply online, while those already receiving postgraduate funding do not need to submit a new application. Their funding will automatically continue into the next year of their course, although they are advised to check that their personal details are up to date through their online account.

For the 2026/27 academic year, students in England can apply for:

up to £13,206 for a postgraduate Master's course;

up to £31,122 for a postgraduate Doctoral course; and

Disabled Students' Allowance.

Students in Wales can apply for:

up to £19,635 for a postgraduate Master's course;

up to £29,705 for a postgraduate Doctoral course; and

Disabled Students' Allowance.

The Student Loans Company has also encouraged students to follow its social media channels for the latest updates on student finance.
