A football pitch in London has collapsed, and widespread flash floods have inundated various parts of the United Kingdom after some regions experienced a month's
worth of rainfall within just 24 hours.
Heavy downpours led to road closures, train suspensions in London, and dozens of homes being flooded across central and southern England. Some areas received between 60 and 80 millimeters of rain on Monday, with forecasters warning that certain locations could see over 120 millimeters.
The London Fire Brigade reported receiving approximately 350 flood-related emergency calls. These included rescuing people stranded in cars, helping residents evacuate their homes, and responding to flood incidents in underground stations, roads, homes, and businesses.
