British Queen celebrates

Reform UK has held its position at the top of the Westminster voting intention rankings, according to the latest YouGov survey for 'The Times' and Sky News. The party records 27% support,

essentially unchanged from last week’s 26% and maintaining an eight-point lead over its nearest rivals.

Labour remains on 19%, while the Conservatives slip marginally to 18%, down one point from the previous poll. The Greens register 15%, statistically level with last week’s 16%, and the Liberal Democrats continue to poll steadily at 14%.

Debate over party inclusion in voting prompts

As minor parties proliferate, pollsters face ongoing decisions about which groups to include in the main voting intention prompt. Standard practice sees YouGov list the five major parties—alongside the SNP and Plaid Cymru in Scotland and Wales—while allowing respondents to select “another party” before specifying further.

Historically, parties showing sustained support around 8–10% have been moved into the main prompt, as was the case with the Brexit Party and the Greens. To assess whether emerging groups warrant similar treatment, YouGov runs periodic tests using unprompted open-ended questions.

Recent testing for Your Party, conducted after it finalised its name, found fewer than 1% of voters expressing support—virtually identical to results when the party appears only under “other”. As a result, YouGov says Your Party will remain in the follow-up “other” category and will not feature in headline voting intention figures for now.
