British Queen celebrates

The Prince and Princess of Wales are preparing for a new chapter in Windsor life as they get ready to move house with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Later this year, William and Kate will relocate to Forest Lodge, an elegant eight-bedroom home nestled in Windsor Great Park. The move won’t take them far — just a short distance from their current residence, Adelaide Cottage — and the children will remain at Lambrook School nearby.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed the plans, saying simply: “The Wales family will move house later this year.”

Unlike previous royal moves that have sparked debate over taxpayer funding, this transition is expected to be privately financed. Reports suggest William and Kate are covering the costs of the property and its renovations themselves. Some light refurbishment work has already begun on the Grade II-listed building.

Forest Lodge, estimated to be worth around £16 million on the open market, is part of the Crown Estate. Its freehold is owned by the King, while Prince William inherited the Duchy of Cornwall — a vast portfolio of land, property, and investments valued at over £1 billion — when his father became monarch.
