Prince Harry need not worry about deportation under a potential second term of Donald Trump, as the former U.S. president has dismissed any notion of expelling the Duke of Sussex.
This comes as conservative think tanks ramp up efforts to obtain Prince Harry’s U.S. visa records. The Heritage Foundation has been leading the charge, arguing that the records should be made public after Harry admitted to past drug use in his 2023 memoir, Spare. The group alleges that either he provided false information on his visa application or received preferential treatment under President Joe Biden’s administration.
However, when asked about the possibility of deporting Prince Harry, Trump told the New York Post on Friday: “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
Trump has previously made disparaging remarks about Meghan Markle, once describing Prince Harry as being “whipped” by his wife. In past statements criticized as misogynistic, he also told reporters, “I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose.”
As the controversy over Harry’s visa records continues, the public remains divided over whether the royal should face legal scrutiny or be left in peace. Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex is focused on his upcoming commitments, including the Invictus Games and ongoing philanthropic efforts. Photo by DoD News, Wikimedia commons.
