The UK government has released an updated list of ministers' interests which includes information on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's wife's shareholdings. The move
comes after an investigation was launched into whether Sunak properly declared his wife's holding in a childcare company that could benefit from government policy. Sunak's wife, Akshata Murthy, is referred to as a "venture capital investor" and holds a minority shareholding in the company Koru Kids, according to the published list.
Sunak's own financial interests are handled through a "blind trust/blind management arrangement". Sunak has promised to lead a government with integrity "at every level" and the investigation is seen as an embarrassment for him ahead of next year's national election.
