Just four years ago, Michelle Agyemang was a ball girl at Wembley. Now, the 19-year-old striker has become England’s unexpected star at Euro 2025 — scoring three goals in four games,
including two dramatic late equalisers that kept the Lionesses in the tournament.
Agyemang made her senior debut in October 2022 and has since gone from Arsenal’s academy to making headlines on the international stage. Her breakout moment came in her debut match against Belgium, where she scored just 41 seconds after coming on.
At Euro 2025, she’s become Sarina Wiegman’s super-sub. Her goals against Sweden and Italy helped push England to the final, where they’ll face Spain on Sunday. Teammates and coaches have praised her powerful, fearless style and maturity beyond her years.
Captain Leah Williamson called her “inevitable.” Chloe Kelly said she has “the world at her feet.” And coach Wiegman has described her rise as “rapid” and “ready.”
Whether she starts or comes off the bench, Agyemang has already proven she can change the game — and she may just do it again in the final. Photo by Petey21, Wikimedia commons.
