British Queen celebrates

 

Leslie Garrett, aged 49, has pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to eight charges related to firing an AK-47-style rifle at a cinema, a newsagent, and a house on January 3.

The incidents involved shots fired outside the Croxteth cinema, at a newsagents in Lower House Lane, and a house in Croxteth.

Appearing via video link from prison, Garrett, residing on Ternhall Road, Fazakerley, was remanded in custody. His lawyer, Paul Lewis, informed the court that the preparation of medical reports is already underway. Judge Robert Trevor-Jones ordered the creation of a pre-sentence report.

Victim impact reports from the shop assistant and cinema worker, both of whom had a firearm pointed at them during the incidents, are expected to be presented in court. Garrett pleaded guilty to various charges, including possessing an AK-47-style rifle with intent to endanger life, possessing the rifle with intent to cause fear of violence, possessing cartridges with intent to endanger life, possessing ammunition without a certificate, and attempted robbery of Amandeep Singh.
