According to data from recruiter Adzuna released by the UK's Office for National Statistics, the number of online job advertisements in Britain on April 6 decreased by
18% compared to the same period last year.
However, there was a 1% increase from the previous week. Additionally, the ONS reported that spending at pubs, restaurants, and fast food outlets using debit cards was 17 percentage points higher than the previous week, based on transaction data from Revolut.
This increase in spending was attributed to the Easter holiday weekend. Photo by Phil Whitehouse, Wikimedia commons.
