Tesla Solutions has unveiled plans to open a dedicated flight training centre at London Oxford Airport, marking the company’s entry into the flight simulator training market.
The firm, currently the UK’s largest independent lessor of Diamond aircraft to flight schools, operates a fleet of twelve DA40s and fifteen DA42s. The new centre represents a strategic expansion of its training offering beyond aircraft leasing.
The facility will house four flight simulation training devices (FSTDs), including a Boeing 737NG, an Airbus A320 and two Diamond DA42 simulators. In addition, the centre will include purpose-built classrooms and briefing rooms to support theoretical instruction and pre- and post-flight training.
All simulators will be available on a dry-hire basis to airlines, flight schools and individual pilots, with Tesla Solutions positioning the centre as a flexible simulator hire option for a broad range of training requirements.
Tesla Solutions founder John Hardcastle said: “I listened carefully to my customers and recognised that as well as flexible aircraft leases, they have also expressed a need for flexible simulator hire solutions to support their pilot training courses. We are delighted to be bringing this significant increase in available, flexible simulator capacity to the UK pilot training industry.” Photo by Globalespresso, Wikimedia commons.
