King Charles has made his position clear when it comes to Prince Harry’s place in the royal fold.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the King has no intention of allowing his youngest son to adopt the “half in, half out” arrangement that Harry and Meghan once hoped for when they stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
Earlier this month, Harry returned to the UK for several charity-related events and met his father at Clarence House. The meeting, which reportedly lasted just 54 minutes, was the pair’s first private encounter since early 2024, when Harry flew home following news of the King’s cancer diagnosis.
While father and son are said to be making plans for more private time together, Charles remains firm on one point: Harry and Meghan will not hold any official public roles. A source told The Telegraph that the King is “absolutely clear in upholding his late mother’s decision that there can be no half-in, half-out public role.”
