British Queen celebrates

Transport for London (TfL) is strengthening its ties with some of the capital’s most celebrated cultural institutions as part of a wider effort to encourage Londoners and visitors to explore the

city by public transport.

The latest collaboration sees TfL partner with the British Museum to offer customers a 2-for-1 ticket deal for the acclaimed exhibition Hawaiʻi: a kingdom crossing oceans. The offer is available until 11 May and allows visitors travelling on the TfL network to save up to £18 on a standard adult ticket.

The exhibition marks 200 years since the historic visit of King Liholiho and Queen Kamāmalu to London and examines the long-standing relationship between the Hawaiian Kingdom and Britain. Featuring more than 150 objects, it brings together traditional artefacts such as feathered cloaks and shark-toothed weapons alongside contemporary Native Hawaiian artworks, offering a powerful insight into Hawaiʻi’s past and present.

To take advantage of the deal, customers can claim up to three full-price tickets with three additional tickets free in a single transaction. Tickets can be booked online at britishmuseum.org/hawaii by entering the offer code HAWTFL24 before selecting a visit date, or purchased in person at the British Museum ticket desk. At least one person in each group must show proof of travel using the free TfL Go app or a valid TfL Oyster photocard with a visible name and photo when entering the exhibition.

Emma Strain, Customer Director at TfL, said: "We are delighted to partner with one of the UK's most popular attractions to offer our customers this fantastic 2-for-1 offer at the British Museum. London's cultural scene is one of the best in the world, and by using the TfL network, customers can save money on entry to many of London's top attractions. We hope our customers enjoy this exhibition and check out our website for many more offers."

The British Museum offer sits alongside a wider programme of TfL cultural partnerships across London. TfL has renewed its popular deal with HMS Belfast until March 2027, allowing visitors to buy two tickets for the price of one, with up to five full-price and five free tickets per transaction.

Visitors can also enjoy 2-for-1 entry to the Royal Observatory Greenwich until 31 March, giving access to one of the world’s most important historic scientific sites. Meanwhile, TfL’s long-running partnership with Historic Royal Palaces — including the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace — continues until 18 December.

Together, the partnerships aim to promote sustainable travel while opening the doors to London’s world-class museums, landmarks and heritage sites. More information on TfL offers and attractions is available at tfl.gov.uk/deals.
