British Queen celebrates

The British Embassy will take part in monitoring Honduras’ general elections, set for 30 November 2025, following an invitation from the country’s National Electoral Council (CNE).

The Embassy in Guatemala City, which is also accredited to Honduras, will form part of the international observer mission tasked with evaluating key phases of the electoral process. Observers will monitor preparations ahead of the vote, activity at polling stations on election day, the ballot count, and the release of official results.

Their assessment will focus on whether the elections comply with Honduras’ legal requirements and meet international standards for transparency, fairness, and democratic integrity.

By participating in the mission, the United Kingdom reaffirms its commitment to supporting democratic processes and highlights the importance of free, fair, and secure elections in Honduras. Photo by Pete unseth, Wikimedia commons.
