Daniel Korski has announced his decision to withdraw from the race to become the Conservative Party's candidate for the London mayoral election. This comes after allegations were made by
TV producer Daisy Goodwin, accusing Korski of inappropriate touching during an incident that occurred 10 years ago in Downing Street. The allegations were published in The Times and Daily Mail newspapers.
In a statement, Korski firmly denied the allegation and expressed his willingness to participate in any investigation. However, he cited the pressure on his family and the lack of opportunity to convey his campaign message as the reasons behind his withdrawal.
Following Korski's exit, the competition for the Conservative Party's candidate position will now be between Moz Hossain and Susan Hall, who will vie for the opportunity to challenge Sadiq Khan in the upcoming London mayoral election. Photo by [2], Wikimedia commons.
