
A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of more than £30,000 worth of iPhones during a robbery at the Apple store in Lakeside shopping centre, Essex.
Avram Stoica, who has no fixed address, is accused of stealing multiple iPhone 17 handsets during the incident on 22 September. He also faces a further charge of attempted robbery after an alleged attempt to target another Apple store at Brent Cross in north London on the same day.
Stoica has been charged with two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He is expected to appear before Southend Magistrates’ Court later. Photo by John Winfield, Wikimedia commons.
