A children’s social worker who led a double life running a large-scale drugs and weapons operation has had her prison sentence extended following a review by the Solicitor General.
Chloe Scott, 27, from Lewisham, south London, had her jail term increased by three years and three months after the Solicitor General referred her case to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) scheme.
Scott was originally sentenced to 12 years in prison at Snaresbrook Crown Court in June 2025 for multiple drugs and firearms offences, as well as animal cruelty. Her sentence was raised to 15 years and three months on 12 November 2025.
The court heard that Scott was arrested in April 2024 after police stopped a 15-year-old boy at Tower Hill Underground Station. The teenager was carrying a knife, Class A drugs, and messages on his phone from Scott and an associate, Miles Addy, instructing him to sell drugs.
Addy, who was serving time in prison, had been working with Scott to run the criminal network. Investigators found evidence that the pair coordinated deliveries of drugs and weapons across London and the South East, with Addy sending Scott addresses from his cell.
Police discovered that Scott used several burner phones to manage the operation. Her phone contained dealer contacts, notes on drug transactions, and photos and videos showing her handling and weighing drugs.
In a separate incident in June 2023, armed police stopped Scott’s car in Islington, north London, and recovered 500 grams of cocaine, five large hunting knives, and a small mobile phone and charger wrapped in cling film — believed to be destined for smuggling into prison.
Scott was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, two counts of selling or transferring a firearm, conspiracy to possess a firearm and ammunition without a certificate, possession of a bladed article, and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, after her dog was found to have had its ears illegally cropped.
Following the appeal, the the Solicitor General Rt Hon Ellie Reeves MP said:
“Drugs and guns are a scourge on our communities. Chloe Scott, fuelled crime across London by supplying drugs and weapons to criminals, enriching herself through the suffering of others.
I welcome the court’s decision to increase Chloe Scott’s sentence following my referral and hope this sends a clear message to organised gangs and criminals that they will be justly punished for their crime”s. Photo by Cassianto, Wikimedia commons.
