Applications for the UK government's prestigious Chevening Scholarships are now open for the 2025/26 academic year, with the submission window running from 6 August to 5 November 2024.

Aspiring scholars can apply via chevening.org/apply.

Chevening Scholarships are designed to support individuals from diverse backgrounds who exhibit the potential and drive to become future leaders. Successful applicants must present a clear and feasible plan to create positive change in their home country and demonstrate how earning a master’s degree in the UK will enable them to achieve this goal.

The scholarship provides full financial support for scholars to pursue any eligible master’s degree at over 150 UK universities, along with access to a variety of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences.

Since its inception in 1983, the Chevening programme has helped more than 57,000 professionals, including over 370 from Bangladesh, to advance their careers. For the 2025/26 academic year, around 1,500 awards will be available worldwide, reflecting the UK's ongoing commitment to nurturing the leaders of the future.

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke said:

“If you are passionate about driving change, whether locally or globally, if you want to be the best at what you do and you have the imagination to inspire others, then a Chevening Scholarship to study for a master’s degree in the UK is the perfect opportunity for you.

“Apply before the deadline on 5 November 2024, and you could be part of an extraordinary global network.”
