British Queen celebrates

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter Inc, announced on Saturday that the social media platform will soon introduce a feature allowing media publishers to charge users on a

per-article basis with just one click. This new feature will be launched in May, enabling users who do not wish to sign up for a monthly subscription to pay a higher per-article price for occasional articles they want to read. Billionaire owner Musk described this as a win for both the public and media organizations.

On Friday, Musk revealed that Twitter will take a 10% cut on content subscriptions after the first year, but will not take a cut during the first 12 months. These subscriptions will include long-form text and hours-long video.

Since taking over Twitter in October, Musk has implemented numerous product and organizational changes, such as making Twitter-verified blue ticks a paid service and reducing the employee base by approximately 80%. Musk has been working to increase revenue at Twitter after the social media platform saw a drop in advertising income last year in the lead-up to his on-again-off-again acquisition that eventually went through.
