British Queen celebrates

London Stansted Airport is preparing for its busiest summer ever, with an estimated 4.4 million passengers expected to travel through the terminal over the six-week school holiday period.

Anita Harrison, Customer Operations Director at London Stansted, said:
"With schools breaking up next week, we’re ready to welcome 4.4 million passengers through the terminal during the summer holidays. Whether they’re heading off to the sun or arriving to explore the UK, London Stansted offers a great choice of destinations and a smooth airport experience."

Despite the introduction of new scanning technology, passengers are being reminded to follow existing security rules, including removing electronics from hand luggage and ensuring all liquids are under 100ml. These rules will remain in place until all UK airports have fully upgraded their security lanes.

“Following these steps will help ensure a quick and easy journey through the airport for everyone,” Harrison added.

London Stansted has recently expanded its route network with new services launched by Ryanair, Jet2, British Airways, Transavia, Air Algérie, Royal Air Maroc, and SunExpress. The airport has also unveiled a new domestic arrivals facility as part of an ongoing transformation project aimed at boosting capacity and enhancing the travel experience.
