British Queen celebrates

The most affordable areas to rent in Scotland have been identified in a recent report by BLG Development Finance and Online Marketing Surgery.

The report ranks regions based on their average rent prices for the year.

According to the latest figures from the Scottish Government, approximately 340,000 people rent homes in the private sector, which makes up about one-seventh of all homes in Scotland.

Using data from the Office for National Statistics, the Rent Report offers potential renters insights into the most budget-friendly areas to live in the country.

Topping the list is Dumfries and Galloway, with an average monthly rent of £476. The combined regions of North and South Ayrshire follow as the second cheapest, with an average rent of £588. Perth and Kinross rank third, with an average rent price of £618.
