London was hit with a wave of crime over the bank holiday weekend, with two stabbings and a shooting taking place in various parts of the city. On Sunday, May 7th, a teenager was stabbed
in the stomach on Streatham High Road in South London at around 2pm. He was taken to the hospital, and police are still investigating the incident.
Another stabbing occurred in Elephant and Castle, where two men were injured in a fight. Meanwhile, in Bow, East London, two men were rushed to the hospital with gunshot injuries.
In addition to these incidents, two dogs were shot dead by police after a woman was injured. Despite the bank holiday, police were called to several incidents, leaving many Londoners feeling uneasy.
As the bank holiday Monday begins, authorities are urging witnesses to come forward with any information they may have about the crimes. The Met Police has also made a recent arrest related to volunteers handing out rape alarms at King's Coronation party-goers. Photo by Dani_7C3, Wikimedia commons.
