The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, has confirmed that she will not attend King Charles’ coronation next month. Sarah, who was previously married to the King’s brother Prince Andrew,
stated during an interview on Good Morning Britain that she will not attend the state occasion due to her divorce. She acknowledged that one cannot have it both ways and must either be in or out, but not sit on the fence.
Despite this, Sarah expressed her fondness for the royal family and her close relationship with the King and his wife Queen Camilla. She praised the family’s unity during this momentous time and commended Charles and Camilla for doing an exceptional job of bringing the family together.
Sarah expressed her delight in being part of the family in private, even though she won’t be present at the state occasion. She acknowledged that she cannot be both in and out and must make a clear decision. The guest list for the coronation has caused some surprises, and it will be interesting to see who attends this historic event. Photo by GuitarStrummer56, Wikimedia commons.
