British Queen celebrates

Tottenham Hotspur have secured the signing of 21-year-old Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague in a transfer deal valued at approximately £12.5 million.

The North London club has been without their first-choice goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, since he suffered a fractured ankle during Spurs' 4-0 victory over Manchester City on 24 November.

In Vicario’s absence, Fraser Forster had stepped in, but illness ruled him out of Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle, resulting in a debut for 25-year-old Brandon Austin.

With only two wins in their last 11 matches, Tottenham currently sit 12th in the Premier League standings.

Kinsky has signed a contract until 2031, with the completion of the move pending international clearance and work permit approval.

Since joining Slavia Prague from Dukla Prague in 2021, Kinsky spent a loan spell before becoming a regular starter. The Czech Republic Under-21 international has made 29 appearances for Slavia this season, recording 14 clean sheets. Photo by Hzh, Wikimedia commons.
