Customers are being urgently advised not to consume five types of hummus due to possible contamination with “animal matter.” The Happy Pear is recalling the affected products as a
precaution to ensure customer safety.
This recall notice applies specifically to Northern Ireland, where the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned consumers to avoid eating these products. Those who have purchased any of the listed items are advised to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The Happy Pear released a statement saying, “As a precautionary measure, we are recalling the above batches of products that contain canned chickpeas as an ingredient. A specific batch of chickpeas used in these products is subject to a recall due to the potential presence of foreign matter. If you have purchased one of these batches, please do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store for a refund. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.”
