GB News, the UK media channel, is facing four new investigations by media regulator Ofcom following complaints about the channel's potential breach of impartiality rules. Ofcom is examining

three episodes of shows hosted by Conservative MPs, including Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg, Philip Davies, and Esther McVey. The investigation is focused on the rule that prohibits politicians from acting as news presenters, interviewers, or reporters in news programs unless there is an exceptional editorial justification. GB News has previously argued that their programs hosted by politicians should be considered current affairs rather than news, which could impact whether they have breached the rules. This brings the total number of active Ofcom investigations into GB News to seven.

Of the episodes under investigation, one from Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg's show State of the Nation on 13 June covered a stabbing incident in Nottingham. Another episode being investigated is from Friday Morning with Esther and Phil on 12 May, featuring issues including the sentencing of a teenager for terrorism offenses. Saturday Morning with Esther and Phil on the following day is also under investigation, along with an episode of Laurence Fox's program from 16 June, guest-presented by Martin Daubney. The latter episode featured an interview with Reform UK leader Richard Tice and a discussion on immigration and asylum policy.

The investigations focus on whether GB News programs have maintained due impartiality in their coverage of significant political and industrial controversies, current public policy issues, and ensuring a wide range of significant views are included and given due weight. GB News declined to comment on the investigations. Additionally, there are three other ongoing Ofcom investigations into the channel related to specific shows and campaigns.
