The Prime Minister met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this afternoon ahead of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan.

During their meeting, the Prime Minister praised President Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine for their extraordinary resilience and determination in the face of continued Russian aggression.

The discussion focused on developments on the battlefield, with President Zelenskyy providing an update on the latest frontline situation and Ukraine’s ongoing progress.

Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to enhance defence industrial cooperation among European allies, reaffirming their commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary.

They also highlighted the importance of safeguarding Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in preparation for the coming winter, aiming to strengthen the country’s resilience against further attacks.

On the topic of peace efforts, the leaders reviewed Ukraine’s push for a lasting resolution and stressed the critical role of maintaining and intensifying sanctions to pressure Russia into meaningful negotiations.
