British Prince Harry arrived in Kyiv on Thursday, April 23, in an unannounced visit to express solidarity with the Ukrainian people resisting aggression. The Duke of Sussex met with veterans and

volunteers.

“I am glad to be back,” Prince Harry said at the start of his visit to Kyiv, sending a powerful message of support to the entire country.

The younger son of the British king came to personally thank Ukrainians for their incredible efforts and to remind the international community of the price of freedom that Ukraine pays every day.

During his trip, he emphasized that his goal is to draw global attention to the resilience of Ukrainians and to support those who work daily toward victory under extremely difficult conditions.

Special attention during the visit was given to veterans and participants of the Invictus Games, which he founded. He stressed that the world must continue to see the human faces of this war and understand the scale of Ukrainians’ daily sacrifices.

According to reports, Prince Harry has consistently supported Ukraine. His first visit to the country took place in April 2025, when he spent time at the Superhumans rehabilitation center and met with Ukrainian veterans.

At the time, he noted that he wanted not only to witness the consequences of the war firsthand but also to promote initiatives aimed at helping Ukrainians injured and affected by Russian aggression.

He also visited Ukraine in September 2025, when Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko showed him the aftermath of a Russian attack on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Photo by Minerva97, Wikimedia commons.
