UK homebuilder Persimmon posted a 10% rise in annual profit, surpassing market forecasts, as stronger sales and pricing bolstered earnings. The company struck an optimistic tone for 2025,
citing encouraging early-year sales momentum.
"The underlying market fundamentals remain strong, and we are encouraged by the further improvement in our sales rates in the early weeks of this year," CEO Dean Finch stated.
For the year ending December 31, 2024, underlying profit before tax reached £395.1 million ($509.6 million), up from £359.4 million the previous year, and ahead of the £380.3 million consensus estimate compiled by the company.
