Share Breaking News image Aslef, the union representing train drivers, has announced a fresh strike action. Train drivers from more than a dozen companies are set to go on strike on

September 1st and will also observe an overtime refusal on September 2nd.

This move is the latest development in Aslef's ongoing dispute over pay.

The planned overtime abstention will coincide with a strike organized by the RMT union, which represents other rail workers such as guards and station staff, at 14 different train companies. The RMT strike is part of a separate disagreement.

Furthermore, the RMT has scheduled another strike for Saturday, August 26th. Photo by Martin Addison, Wikimedia commons.
