Scottish comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli has been arrested and charged in connection with "non-recent" sexual offences. The 54-year-old has been released and is scheduled to appear in court
at a later date, according to police confirmation.
Mr. Kohli has presented numerous programs for the BBC and other broadcasters and was the runner-up in the 2006 edition of Celebrity MasterChef. He also participated as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.
A spokesperson for the police indicated that a report detailing the circumstances has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
The arrest of Mr. Kohli comes after an investigation by the Times, which highlighted concerns raised by several individuals.
