In a statement released on Sunday, the Chinese embassy in Britain called upon London to halt its slanderous and defamatory remarks against China, aiming to prevent

any additional harm to the China-UK bilateral relationship.

This plea follows British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's assertion after the Group of Seven (G7) summit that China poses the most significant challenge to global security and prosperity. However, Sunak also emphasized that leading economies should not sever ties with China.
