British Queen celebrates

The Prime Minister welcomed Kenyan President William Ruto to Downing Street today for high-level talks focused on strengthening UK-Kenya relations.

The two leaders marked the launch of a new UK-Kenya Strategic Partnership, aimed at boosting economic growth and enhancing regional security through deeper collaboration.

On the issue of migration, they welcomed a new bilateral security agreement designed to tackle organised immigration crime and human trafficking in Kenya, with the goal of preventing onward movement to Europe.

In discussions on trade and investment, the leaders highlighted the Nairobi Railway City project—modeled on London’s King’s Cross development—as a major opportunity for UK businesses. The initiative aligns with the UK’s Plan for Change by promoting growth and innovation.
