King Charles and Queen Camilla made a brief private visit to a wellness center in India, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Wednesday. Following their recent travels to Australia and Samoa, the
royal couple stopped at the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre in Bengaluru for some rest and rejuvenation.
Arriving on October 27, Charles, 75, and Camilla enjoyed yoga and meditation sessions at the center, which they have visited in the past. The wellness facility emphasizes a holistic approach, aiming to "restore the natural balance of mind, body, and spirit," and prominently features photos and a testimonial from Charles on its website.
A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace shared that “Their Majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa,” adding that they returned to the UK this morning.
A longtime advocate for alternative therapies, King Charles has visited India and Soukya multiple times. A royal source clarified that the stopover was not related to his health but was intended as a restful pause in light of his recent extensive travel. Photo by soukya.com.
