British Queen celebrates

The Most Reverend Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, has arrived in Guatemala at the start of a 12-day tour of Central America.

During his visit, the Archbishop will engage with Anglican churches, ecumenical communities, and religious and political leaders. Today, the British Ambassador, Nick Whittingham, accompanied him in a meeting with the President of Guatemala, His Excellency Bernardo Arévalo.

The Archbishop's itinerary also includes visits to El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Panama. As the senior bishop and a principal leader of the Church of England, he serves as the ceremonial head of the worldwide Anglican Communion and the bishop of the Diocese of Canterbury.
