British Queen celebrates

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak engaged in a conversation with King Abdullah II of Jordan earlier today, emphasizing the United Kingdom's unwavering commitment to bolstering Jordanian and

broader regional security amidst recent threats. Both leaders agreed that a significant escalation would not serve the interests of anyone.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Sunak underscored the UK's continued dedication to seeking a resolution to the crisis in Gaza. He reiterated the UK's efforts to facilitate an immediate humanitarian pause to facilitate the delivery of much-needed aid and ensure the safe return of hostages, with the ultimate aim of establishing a sustainable ceasefire.

Furthermore, the leaders explored collaborative initiatives to significantly enhance aid to Gaza. This includes the UK's involvement in Jordanian-led aid drops and the establishment of a humanitarian land corridor to Gaza, alongside the maritime aid corridor originating from Cyprus.

PM Sunak reiterated the UK's steadfast commitment to achieving a viable two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians, emphasizing the importance of supporting a reformed Palestinian authority to foster stability and prosperity across the Palestinian territories.
