The Portuguese Government has issued 2,600 visas to "digital nomads" from outside Europe in this time frame, with North Americans being the largest group of recipients, as reported by "Público" on Friday, November 3.
Data provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to "Público" reveals that "citizens of the USA, Brazil, and the United Kingdom" were the top nationalities granted these visas in this specific order.
This law, which introduced visas for digital nomads in Portugal, took effect on October 30th of the previous year.
