In a significant ruling, the Supreme Court has declared the UK's plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda as unlawful. Lord Reed, presiding over the case, determined that there were substantial
grounds to believe that authentic refugees sent to Rwanda might face the risk of being forcibly returned to the very countries they had fled.
In light of this finding, Lord Reed announced the dismissal of the Home Secretary's appeal, solidifying the court's stance against the proposed asylum policy. Photo by Doltography, Wikimedia commons.
