The anticipated State Visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla to France has been rescheduled for September.
Their Majesties are set to embark on a journey to Paris and Bordeaux from September 20th to 22nd, 2023.
Originally planned for March 2023, the royal couple's official trip had to be postponed due to strikes and protests triggered by proposed pension reforms led by President Emmanuel Macron.
This State Visit to France would have marked King Charles's inaugural overseas trip since his ascent to the throne. Although his State Visit to Germany, which followed closely after, proceeded as scheduled, the upcoming September visit to France will be the second formal event of his reign.Photo by Northern Ireland Office, Wikimedia commons.
