A lucky lottery player in the UK has struck gold, taking home an incredible £25.7 million in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw after matching all the winning numbers.
This latest win marks the fourth time this year that someone from the UK has claimed the EuroMillions jackpot — and remarkably, it’s the second Friday in a row a British ticket has scooped the top prize.
Just last week, another player walked away with £26 million, while earlier this year, one winner pocketed £65 million on Valentine’s Day and another landed a staggering £83 million in January.
The winning numbers in Friday’s draw were 06, 07, 17, 20, 21, with the Lucky Stars 01 and 10.
It was also a great night for another lucky player, who picked up £500,000 in the Thunderball draw. The winning Thunderball numbers were 11, 22, 25, 31, 34, and the Thunderball number was 13.
National Lottery officials say winning such a life-changing amount can be overwhelming, but every jackpot winner is supported by a dedicated team of “Winners’ Advisors” who guide them through what happens next.
Meanwhile, two more UK players are still sitting on unclaimed fortunes. Both matched all six numbers in the Lotto draws on October 4 and October 8, but neither has yet stepped forward. Winners have 180 days from the date of their draw to claim their prize — so if you bought a ticket, now’s the time to double-check your numbers.
