British Queen celebrates

British pub operator Marston's reported a return to profit for the first half of its financial year, driven by cost-saving measures and increased food and drink sales, aided by favourable weather.

For the six months ending March 29, the company posted an underlying pre-tax profit of £19 million ($25.08 million), a sharp turnaround from the £0.2 million loss recorded during the same period last year. Photo by  Alexander P Kapp, Wikimedia commons.
