Interview with the European representative SABAVA Impex Lidia Dart.

  1. Could you introduce SABAVA and briefly tell us its core mission?

L.D.: SABAVA Impex Pvt Ltd. is a leading Indian manufacturer and exporter of natural fabrics, including silk, linen, cotton, viscose and blended textiles. Our mission is to deliver high-quality textile products that satisfy our global customers while bringing innovation and creativity to design and production.

  1. How did SABAVA begin, and what inspired its foundation?

L.D.: The company’s roots go back to the cottage industry era. Over time, we adopted modern technologies and transitioned into an organized textile enterprise. This evolution allowed us to formalize operations and expand into a private limited company focused on exports rather than domestic sales.

  1. What would you say sets SABAVA apart from other textile manufacturers?

L.D.: We focus on natural fabrics and have strong in-house design teams that create patterns and woven products tailored to client requirements and fashion trends. Our commitment to quality and timely delivery also distinguishes us in a competitive global market.

  1. What are some of the key products and markets for SABAVA today?

L.D.: We produce an extensive range of home textiles, garment fabrics, made-ups, scarves and stoles. While we are based in India, our products are exported across Russia, CIS countries, many parts of Europe, and growing markets in Asia and Latin America.

  1. How does SABAVA maintain quality throughout the production process?

L.D.: Quality underpins everything we do. From weaving and dyeing to final packing, we ensure that every stage meets buyers’ specifications. Quality control is part of our culture and helps retain customer trust over long-term partnerships.

6. What innovations or production techniques has SABAVA adopted?

L.D.: We have embraced modern technology for weaving, printing (hand, screen, block, digital) and embroidery (hand, machine, computerized). These innovations improve precision and allow us to create unique, trend-aligned textiles.

  1. How important is design and creativity in your product lineup?

L.D.: Creativity is fundamental. Our designers work to blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary trends, allowing us to offer products that are both fashionable and functional for global markets.

  1. What are your plans for growth and expansion in the next few years?

L.D.: We plan to deepen our presence in Latin America, further serve eastern markets such as Japan and Malaysia, and expand product offerings while strengthening our design capabilities and global distribution.

  1. Sustainability and responsible manufacturing are big topics now. How does SABAVA approach these?

L.D.: We are committed to sustainable practices in our manufacturing processes, including non-polluted dyeing and technologies like RO treatment to minimize environmental impact, as well as using natural fabrics that align with ecological sensibilities.

  1. Finally, what would you say to prospective partners or clients considering SABAVA?

L.D.: We value long-term relationships built on quality, innovation and trust. Our team is dedicated to fulfilling customer needs, and we’re always ready to collaborate creatively with partners who share our vision for excellence.
