British Queen celebrates

The Princess of Wales reports making “good progress” following her diagnosis and abdominal surgery in January. She plans to attend Trooping the Colour on Saturday,

marking her first public appearance this year. Despite the positive update, she notes that her treatment is ongoing and will continue for several more months. "I am not out of the woods yet," she states.

Personal Message and Photograph

The most detailed update on her health since her cancer announcement in March comes with a new photograph of her near her Windsor home. Catherine emphasizes the fluctuating nature of her condition, saying, "As anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak, tired, and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well."

She reflects on her journey, adding, "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."

Plans for Trooping the Colour

For Trooping the Colour, a birthday parade for the monarch, the princess will join the carriage parade with her children and participate in the family group waving from the Buckingham Palace balcony. A palace spokesman noted that King Charles III is “delighted that the princess is able to attend tomorrow’s events.”

Gratitude for Public Support

Catherine has expressed deep gratitude for the public's support during her illness, saying the encouragement has been invaluable. "It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times," she shares.

Future Engagements

The princess has started working from home and plans to attend some events over the summer. However, Kensington Palace emphasizes that this is not a full return, and plans may change at short notice. Photo by an Jones, Wikimedia commons.
