While royals are often the main attraction, the spotlight was on Corach Rambler, the 2023 Grand National winner, during his homecoming tour of Scotland at Kelso
Racecourse on Monday. Hundreds of people gathered to catch a glimpse of the nine-year-old gelding who was trained by Lucinda Russell in Scotland.
The Princess Royal also made the journey to Kelso Racecourse to meet the horse in the parade ring, joining the crowd in applauding Corach Rambler's victory. On Saturday, the horse won the world-famous horse race after jumping 29 fences and defeating 38 rivals, becoming only the third Scottish trained horse to win the Grand National in its 175 year history.
Miss Russell hosted a celebration at her stables on Sunday, which attracted hundreds of people eager to congratulate the horse and its connections.
