Following months of preparation and rehearsal, King Charles and Queen Camilla have been crowned in a magnificent ceremony at Westminster Abbey, witnessed by numerous guests and
viewers from around the world. Now that the coronation is over, what's next for the royals?
Photoshoot at Buckingham Palace
After appearing on the balcony, it has been reported that the newly crowned King and Queen were photographed at Buckingham Palace by Hugo Burnard. He had recently taken their pictures ahead of the coronation, but he may now take official portraits of the monarch in full regalia.
Time with the family
With no official events scheduled for the rest of the day, one can assume that the King and Queen will be spending some quality time with their family.
Prince Harry's return to the US
There has been much speculation over whether Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, or either of their children would attend the coronation. In the end, it was announced that Prince Harry would travel from Los Angeles to London alone. He didn't appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside his father and brother and reportedly left in a car right after the service ended. It's believed that the car would take him straight to Heathrow Airport, as today is Prince Archie's birthday, and he has expressed his desire to celebrate it with his family.
Windsor gets ready for the coronation concert
Senior Royals are expected to attend a concert celebrating the coronation in the grounds of Windsor Castle tomorrow. Prince William is anticipated to make a speech in tribute to his father, and he could be spending the evening preparing for it. The concert will feature performances by Lionel Richie, Take That, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Paloma Faith, and Nicole Scherzinger, hosted by Hugh Bonneville, known for his roles in Downton Abbey and the Paddington films.
