British Queen celebrates

Get your walking boots out and picnic supplies in.  Marie Curie’s 10k evening fundraising walk, Walk Ten, at Hampton Court Palace on Saturday 30th August is less than 2 weeks away.

There’s still time to register. It’s £10 per person and everyone is asked to raise as much as possible in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care. All the funds raised will help Marie Curie provide care, free of charge, to terminally ill people in their own homes across Surrey and London

People who have taken part in past Walk Ten events have pinpointed what made the event special to them:

“Lovely location and a great atmosphere.”

“Knowing that it was for a good cause and the friendly atmosphere. Also seeing the nurses who cared for my partner.”

“The 'togetherness', everyone had the same purpose for being there and everyone was passionate about why they were there.”

The Hampton Court Palace event starts at 5.30pm after which, there will be entertainment for the whole family throughout the evening such as fireworks, live music and picnics.

Walk Ten at Hampton Court Palace is raising funds to make it possible for Marie Curie to provide more care to terminally ill patients and vital emotional support to their families, at the time when they need it most.

Registration closes 9am on Monday 25th August.  Children under 16 go free. If you miss registration you can still turn up and register on the day for £20.

Register now for your Walk Ten at www.mariecurie.org.uk/walkten or for more information call 0845 052 4184.
