British Queen celebrates

 

The company managing Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton airports is undergoing a sale that exceeds £1.5 billion. Spanish construction behemoth Ferrovial and Australian financial firm

Macquarie, both holding a 50% stake in AGS Airports, have agreed to transfer ownership of the operator. 

Each year, the trio of airports welcomes over 10.8 million travelers, offering connecting flights across Scotland and to Southeast England. 

AviAlliance, fully owned by the Canadian Public Sector Pension (PSP) Investment Board, will integrate AGS Airports into its existing collection, which includes four airports located in Athens (Greece), Düsseldorf and Hamburg (Germany), and San Juan (Puerto Rico). 

PSP Investments has a strong history of investing in UK infrastructure, including a controlling interest in Forth Ports, one of the largest port operators in both Scotland and England, as well as in the major rolling-stock company Angel Trains.
