British Queen celebrates

 

Jan Latham-Koenig, a globally acclaimed British musician, has been charged with child sex offences following his arrest at Victoria Station in London on Wednesday. The 70-year-old classical

music conductor is accused of arranging or facilitating a child sex offence and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's specialist crime command had been conducting an investigation into Latham-Koenig, who resides in Pelham Crescent, an exclusive area in South Kensington, west London. The musician, known for conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and various BBC ensembles, was awarded an OBE in 2020 for his contributions to music and UK-Russian cultural relations. He served as the artistic director of a Moscow opera theatre.
