In 2023, the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin proudly served a notable 42,609 pints of Guinness 0.0 alongside an impressive 1,235,237 pints of classic Guinness, marking a significant year for

this iconic tourist spot.

Alongside these impressive numbers, the Storehouse also celebrated certifying 134,494 individuals as "experts" in the art of pouring pints, solidifying its status as a destination for both enjoyment and education. Additionally, the Storehouse witnessed seven successful marriage proposals, adding a touch of romance to the bustling venue.

The figures align with the Storehouse's broader success, hosting over 1.5 million tourists hailing from 165 nations throughout the year. The Storehouse experienced a remarkable 32% surge in overall visitor numbers, primarily fueled by international guests, constituting 81% of the total attendance. Among these visitors, the UK and the US contributed 29% and 26%, respectively, while mainland Europe saw a noteworthy 26% rise in tourists from Spain, Italy, Germany, and France. Moreover, the Storehouse's unique Brewery Tour Experience attracted a 28% increase in visits from the UK.

Since its inception in 2000, more than 24 million Guinness enthusiasts have traversed the renowned black gates of the Guinness Storehouse, firmly establishing its position as a must-visit destination in Dublin's The Liberties.

December's accolades from the World Travel Awards for World's Leading Tourist Attraction 2023 and World's Leading Beer Tour Visitor Experience 2023 are anticipated to sustain the Storehouse's high visitation levels into 2024. Catherine Toolan, the managing director, expressed enthusiasm about the Storehouse's continuous evolution as a world-class experience, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to excellence.

Acknowledging the prestigious recognition from the World Travel Awards, Toolan highlighted the significance of this honor within the tourism sector, equating it to the Oscars. The win adds to Ireland's pride in its tourism industry and showcases Dublin's global appeal among top-notch travel experiences like the Great Wall of China, the Ferrari Experience in Abu Dhabi, the Taj Mahal, and the Walt Disney Resort in Florida. This achievement stands as a testament to the Storehouse's dedication to providing an exceptional visitor experience and contributes to the flourishing tourism landscape in Ireland.
