British Queen celebrates

Prominent world leaders, including UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and France’s President Emmanuel Macron, have extended their congratulations to Donald Trump, who appears poised to

return to the White House. Trump, on the verge of winning the required 270 electoral college votes, could soon become the second president in US history to serve non-consecutive terms.

Among the first to congratulate Trump was Sir Keir Starmer, who called the potential victory “historic.” He commented, “Congratulations President-elect Trump on your historic election victory. I look forward to working with you in the years ahead. As the closest of allies, we stand shoulder to shoulder in defense of our shared values of freedom, democracy, and enterprise.”

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed a readiness to continue collaboration, saying, “We are prepared to work together, as we have done in the past. With respect and ambition, let us pursue peace and prosperity.”

Israel’s former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had previously worked closely with Trump, hailed his likely return as “history’s greatest comeback,” adding that it “offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the alliance between Israel and America.”

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban, known for his populist policies and praised by Trump as an inspiration, called the potential victory “the biggest comeback” and a “much-needed triumph for the world.” Austria’s Chancellor Karl Nehammer and Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini also sent their support.

In Russia, senior politicians closely aligned with the Kremlin welcomed the news, with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev suggesting that Trump’s focus on business could lead to reduced US spending on international commitments, which he implied could ease pressure on Russia’s foreign policy, including in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky extended his congratulations, noting hopes for continued bipartisan support from the United States: “Congratulations to Donald Trump on his impressive election victory!”

The potential impact of a Trump second term is a topic of significant interest worldwide. In Europe, concerns have arisen over the future of NATO, with speculation that Trump might reassess US support for the alliance. Nevertheless, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte struck a hopeful note, saying, “His leadership will again be key to keeping our alliance strong. I look forward to working with him again to promote peace through strength.”
